Transforming the world starts with just one girl

Less than 10% of rural and tribal Telangana girls reach a college level education. Through advocacy, empowerment, and education, we’re breaking down barriers and we’re breaking down traditional barriers. Join us in making a difference and transforming the world, one girl at a time.

Anuradha Anuradha is a first year nursing student in Khammam. Her parents passed away when she was young, and she was taken in by KGBV Singareni for her secondary education. Her uncle identifies as transgender, making it difficult to find work to support her financially and encourage higher education. She is exceptionally dedicated to her studies... Haritha Haritha is a bright 28-year-old student at the Government College of Garla, pursuing a B.A. in Education to become an English teacher
She is incredibly bright, well-spoken, and her face lights up when she talks about her ambitions. Haritha obtained a degree to be a Telugu medium (teacher) in her teens, but was denied a job...

We work with Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) residential girls’ secondary schools in the greater Khammam area to provide English tutoring, ongoing mentorship, and individual sponsorships for motivated and passionate girls. We also partner with local higher education institutions to further development and career outcomes for girls at the college level.

Recent Events

Our recent trip to India involved launching initiatives to promote education and empowerment. We fully
sponsor the higher education of four young girls from rural parts of India and offer weekly Zoom calls,
mentorship sessions, and English tutoring. We’ve donated technology tools to facilitate these sessions,
hoping to instill a sense of purpose and drive to enable the girls to achieve their goals.

Grateful for the support of local officials, KGBV Singareni teachers, and the headmistress. Their involvement in our cause is deeply appreciated. In the presence of these young girls, we were humbled by their admiration. Their eagerness to connect, seek guidance, and their focus is a constant source of heartfelt inspiration. These five resilient girls are courageously navigating the trials of grades 11 and 12. Their unwavering determination inspires us to empower them, enabling them to triumph over life's challenges. We provided KGBV Singareni with a technology suite and wifi, bridging the gap and opening doors to virtual tutoring and a wealth of online resources. At KGBV Singareni Inter-College, every classroom has a "Dream Corner" where students pour their greatest ambitions. Singareni Govt. leaders joined us at Kasturba School, launching Kriya program, inaugurating tech system, and inspiring girls with new opportunities.
