Despite the importance of education, around 64% of girls in developing countries do not complete elementary school, and a staggering 79% of women fail to finish high school. These statistics are especially concerning given the proven benefits of educating women, such as reducing maternal mortality rates, decreasing child marriage rates, and promoting economic growth. At Kriya, we are committed to supporting girls and women in obtaining the education they need and deserve.
Young girls in rural areas often have limited exposure to the world and face challenges in accessing mentorship and support. Through our project, we aim to broaden their horizons and expose them to a wealth of opportunities through regular calls and mentorship. We believe that empowering girls and women with knowledge and skills can help break down gender barriers and promote social change.
1 in 10 girls in underdeveloped countries are unable to attend schools due to lack of proper menstrual hygiene products. This not only impacts their education but also their mental and physical health, and further contributes to perpetuating gender inequality. Kriya firmly believes that every woman has the right to access essential hygiene products, and we are dedicated to providing them to individuals who require them. By addressing this issue, we hope to promote female education and empowerment.
