Our recent journey to India was a powerful experience where we had the opportunity to launch impactful projects aimed at advancing our goals of education and empowerment. Among our initiatives, we are particularly proud to be fully sponsoring the higher education of four bright and promising young girls. These girls come from two remarkable institutions: the Government Degree College in Garla, Telangana, and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Singareni, Telangana. The latter is a government-run secondary school that caters to 350 girls from rural parts of India, most of whom are orphaned and have limited resources.
Through our partnership with the Singareni KGBV, we have committed to hosting weekly Zoom calls and mentorship sessions, which will inspire and motivate these young women to broaden their horizons and pursue their career aspirations. In addition, English tutoring will be provided for the older girls to develop language skills needed to flourish in an academic and professional environment. To facilitate these sessions, we have donated a suite of technology tools, including a computer system, projector, mic and speaker system, printer, and scanner. Our hope is that these sessions will instill a deep sense of purpose and drive among the girls, enabling them to achieve their academic and career goals.
We are thrilled to be part of this journey and are committed to supporting the girls’ educational journeys for the long term. Our ultimate aim is to provide opportunities for and support all the girls who exhibit a strong work ethic and academic excellence, empowering them to fulfill their potential and realize their dreams.
